Typical Use Conditions
- Acid concentration: 15–28% HCl
- Acid systems: HCl, HCl/HF, selected organic acids
- Typical temperature range: 121–160°C
- Upper temperature: Up to 177°C under suitable conditions
- Typical dosage: 0.1–2.0 vol%
Up to 177°C depends on acid composition, metallurgy, exposure time, dosage and intensifier package.

- Appearance: Red-brown liquid
- pH, 1% aqueous solution: 2.52
- Density at 22°C: 1.1800 ± 0.0040 g/cm3
- Freezing point: Not above -25°C
- Flash point, closed cup: Not below 93°C
- Solubility: Soluble in 15–28% HCl, acidizing fluids, methanol and acetone
Application Notes
- Final dosage depends on acid strength, metallurgy, temperature and exposure time.
- High-temperature applications may require a compatible intensifier.
- Laboratory corrosion testing under representative conditions is recommended before field use.
